Silastic 81F Curing Agent is used with the following Silastic bases: 3481, 3483, 3487, 3496, 3497 and 3498. This curing agent is a medium speed catalyst that allows time to vacuum. 12 hours to de-mould.

Silastic 81R Curing Agent is used with the following Silastic bases: 3481, 3483, 3496, 3497 and 3498. This curing agent is recommended for casting polyester resin reproductions. It is a slow catalyst requiring 24 hours before de-moulding.

Silastic 83 Curing Agent is used with Silastic 3483 Base. This is a slow catalyst requiring 24 hours before de-moulding.

Silastic 87S Curing Agent is used with Silastic 3487 Base. This is a slow catalyst requiring 24 hours before de-moulding.

If a skin mould is required of a vertical object or surface, and cannot be made by normal pouring techniques, catalysed mixtures of Silastic 3481, Silastic 3483, Silastic 3487 or Silastic S can be made non-flowable by the addition of Silastic® Thixo Additive. This is a particularly valuable benefit of the Silastic product range, as it avoids the need for difficult-to-use, high viscosity paste materials.
